New Friends

Some new neighbors moved in behind us with two little girls. Here is Kaylee and Kendall playing with  Alice making mud soup. Alice is three and has a little sister, Florence, who is one. They are from London, England and their daddy's worked transferred them here. We have played with them a lot the last couple of days.
Kaylee is trying to show Kendall and Alice how to climb the tree.
Kendall and Alice running around the tree.
They finished insulation work yesterday and delivered all the sheetrock today. Installation should begin tomorrow. Quite a few boxes of mud to do.
Living room. 14' pieces of sheetrock throughout the house. That had to be fun to carry in, especially upstairs.
 Entryway insulated.

Day at the Park

It seems like we spend the majority of our nights and weekends at the park since there is not a lot of room or much to do at the apartment. We try to discover new parks and places to play so this weekend we went to Ironhorse Park.
Daddy and Kendall on the playground.
Daddy, Kendall and Kaylee enjoying the day.
There was a nature trail to walk on. The girls thought they were tired and needed to rest on the bench. Kendall wouldn't quit being silly for the photo.
Kaylee really liked climbing up this rock wall by herself.
 Kaylee and Kendall being silly.
When we got home Mommy, Kaylee and Kendall decided to bake cookies. Kendall made quite the mess licking the bowl and spoons.
Electrical and plumbing coming along nicely. Should be completed this week.
More of the same.

Cocoon/Caterpillar

Back in October we found a caterpillar, so we found a home to keep it in. It even made a trip back to Iowa with us. Then one day in October it started to make a cocoon. So we fast forward several months, and this cocoon has just become a part of the family. We moved it to the apartment and this whole time Kyle keeps telling me that the cocoon/caterpillar is dead. Then late last night Kyle heard this strange noise and come to find out the cocoon/caterpillar is alive and now a moth!!
So this morning Kaylee woke up and I told her that there was something downstairs to see. So we ran downstairs and she was so happy to see the moth.
She was pretty sad to let it go, but I told her that it needed to go and see its mommy & daddy and that made it a little better. This was such a fun thing to do with her, but now she wants me to find a caterpillar that turns into a rainbow butterfly!

Kendall's Sense of Fashion

Kendall decided to dress herself the other day. Her onsie had to be snapped on the outside of her leggin's. She also wanted red socks with pink squeaker shoes.
Finished up roofing on Saturday with minimal weather affecting the house during the framing process. Kyle was very happy as it didn't rain or snow to get all the flooring wet. All the furnace duct material is delivered and waiting to be installed. Electrical and plumbing should also begin very shortly.
They have also installed all the windows, except the block windows that go in the master bath.
Back covered patio.
